Josephine Kyei have been a practicing nurse and nurse tutor for the past 18years. She completed State Registered Nurse Certificate (SRN) at the Nursing and Midwifery Training College – Korle Bu in Accra.

She further pursued Bachelor of Arts in Nursing (BA Nursing) at the University of Ghana, School of Nursing, Accra, Ghana and completed in 2006.

Due to her interest in teaching and research, she pursed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education at University of Cape Coast and completed in 2014 and in 2010 while the teaching at the nurses training college so she could be professional at it. She later pursued a Master of Philosophy program in Health Service Administration (MPHIL) at the University of Ghana Business School, Legon graduating in 2010.

Currently, she is in the final year of her PhD program at the School of Public Health, College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana Legon. She is a fellow of the West African College of Nursing and Head of Oncology Faculty of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives. She belongs other international nursing organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau International and Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives.

She has taught various nursing courses at the Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Korle Bu for 10 years as well as being a tutor for the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Ghana distance programme.

Currently an Assistant lecturer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Ghana.

She has attended several local and international conferences. She has a publication and some written research dissertations to her credit. Her research interest has been in the areas of Assisted Reproduction, Male Infertility and Student Challenges. She has served in various academic and non academic leadership position such as a Member Korle Bu Community Chapel counsel of Elders, Vice President, Women Fellowship, Korle Bu Community Chapel, Member-Publications Committee, Local-Sigma tau, Public Relation Officer-West African College of Nursing, Ghana Chapter, Faculty Member: Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives and Tutor-SRC Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Korle Bu. She is very committed and dedicated to work and able to fit in any area that she's placed.
